Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill
The Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill can help you exercise and strengthen injured muscles, ligaments and tendons without the fear of reinjury. It is truly a revolutionary way to improve healing times.
Benefits of the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill
Imagine being able to walk or at a normal pace without the fear of reinjury or falling. This is exactly what the anti-gravity treadmill allows you to do. It removes the excessive forces from your extremities so that you can improve your mobility in a mentally and physically tress-free environment.
It has long been proven that being inactive after an injury or surgery can increase healing times and cause muscle loss and reduced flexibility and stamina. The anti-gravity treadmill reduces inactivity by allowing individuals to exercise while still recovering. Getting up and moving increases blood flow throughout the body, which allows it to heal injuries faster and helps improve flexibility, range of motion and stamina.
The Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a revolutionary way to rehabilitate injuries and recover after surgery or a stroke. It also allows people who have arthritis or who are extremely overweight to exercise with minimal pain and discomfort. It improves gait, balance and confidence by allowing individuals to run or walk farther and faster than would be otherwise normal.
If you have an orthopedic injury, neurological injury or problem, want to lose weight or recover after very strenuous exercise, the anti-gravity treadmill might be the right choice for you.
Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill Rehabilitation with our Chiropractor
Our chiropractor offers safe and effective rehabilitation with the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill. Anti-gravity treadmills work by supporting some of all of your body weight so that you can walk and run without putting stress on your joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and soft tissues, and it reduces the risks of falling or injuring healing muscles, ligaments and joints.
During the session, you will be helped onto the treadmill by our physical therapist, and a bubble will be placed around your lower body and zipped into place. This creates an airtight seal. It will then inflate with air to reduce the amount of weight on your lower extremities. The machine can remove between 20 and 100 percent of your body weight so that you can walk or run with minimal risk of reinjuring yourself, and it does not impede movement. The hips, legs, ankles and feet are left free to move so that you can work on improving your fitness while reducing the stress on your body.
This allows individuals with arthritis, sports injuries or recent surgeries to get back on their feet and participate in an exercise program, which speeds healing times and improves strength, flexibility, balance and endurance.
