Allison Einziger, PT, DPT, CSRS

Dr. Allison Einziger was born and raised in Manalapan, New Jersey. She graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2012 following attaining a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Rutgers University. After graduating, Dr. Allison worked in an inpatient rehabilitation department  with orthopedic, cardiac, and pulmonary diagnoses which included amputations for pre and post prosthetic training, exacerbations of Multiple Sclerosis, and global deconditioning following prolonged hospitalization. She spent extended time practicing on the stroke unit as well as the acute and subacute brain injury rehabilitation departments. She focused her attention to traumatic brain injuries including minimally conscious states while treating in the subacute setting. Dr. Einziger has furthered her education through the National Stroke Association as a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) as well as continuing education within the Neuro-Ifrah (Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation and Habilitation) framework. She is very enthusiastic about working with clients with Parkinson’s disease using the PWR! Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery approach. Her interests involve regaining motor control, visual inattention, apraxia, and contraversive pushing following stroke as well as executive functioning following brain injury.  When not treating patients, Dr. Allison is an adjunct professor with the Kean University Doctor of Physical Therapy program for the Neurological PT class. Dr. Allison is also highly interested in evidence based treatment of acute and chronic low back pain and has completed the advanced lumbar coursework using the McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment approach and is looking forward to completing the cervical spine coursework. In addition, Dr. Allison works as within the early intervention field, working with children birth to 3 years old in the home setting. When she is not working and teaching she spends time with her two nephews, Riley and Dylan. She enjoys taking her pitbull, Golda, on trips to the park and renovating her new house. Dr. Allison is very excited to work alongside her clients in the Old Bridge office in order to maximize function and return to all activities.
