Physical Therapy Offered at Our Old Bridge, Matawan, and Freehold Wellness Centers

At Old Bridge Spine and Wellness Center, we offer comprehensive therapies which work together to help you achieve your pain management, recovery and wellness goals - chiropractic care, massage therapy and physical therapy(PT). If you are experiencing pain from a car accident injury, work-related injury, or even sports injury, our team will play a crucial role in your rehabilitation process. While chiropractic care works to realign your spinal column, our physical therapy team is focused on restoring strength to the surrounding tissues and improving diminished range of movement.

When you come to the Old Bridge Spine and Wellness Center in Old Bridge or Matawan after suffering any type of car accident injury, work injury, sports injury or trauma, our chiropractor will perform a thorough examination to assess the extent of your injuries. We will then work together as a wellness team to develop an individualized treatment plan that will alleviate your pain, restore full mobility and promote internal healing.

In addition to Dr. Peter Bufano and Dr. Alrene Kazio, our therapeutic treatment team includes Daniel Neissany, Director of Physical Therapy, and Antonio Monterosso and Paulina Kotowitz, who holds a Doctorate in this area. Our PT treatments are based on their knowledge of orthopedics and kinesiology, or how the body works and moves. Daniel and Antonio are continually expanding their understanding of physiology and orthopedics to further enhance the treatments we are able to offer to our patients. The core of our PT sessions consists of directed exercises which gradually increase in difficulty. These are designed to help you safely rebuild your muscles and inner core strength, while slowly regaining your flexibility.

Our Chiropractors and Physical Therapists Work Together to Maximize Healing

Our chiropractors and physical therapists work together and follow the philosophy that we don't just relieve pain or cover up symptoms. Chiropractic care, massage therapy and our physical therapy are complementary treatments which help you heal from within and prevent future injuries. In addition to the therapeutic exercise programs we design for you, our physical therapists may also incorporate other techniques into your treatment plan.

Other techniques offered by our physical therapists include the Graston Technique, Kinesio-Old Bridge Physical Therapy for car accident injurytaping, McConnell taping and Active Release Technique. The Graston Technique incorporates the use of special instruments to mobilize and restore damaged tissues, while minimizing the build-up of scar tissue. Kinesio Taping is a technique that provides support and stability to your joints and muscles without restricting your range of motion. It is also helpful in prolonging the benefits of our chiropractic adjustments. McConnell Taping is used to help patients who are experiencing shoulder and knee pain. This taping method helps support joint tracking while playing a crucial role in alleviating pain. Active Release Technique is a movement-based soft tissue system we may use to treat problems with your tendons, muscles and ligaments.

At Old Bridge Spine and Wellness Center our team of professional physical therapists are committed to speeding your rehabilitation process and helping you achieve your mobility goals so you can get back to having fun and enjoying life. We work together to discover innovative techniques that will provide you with maximum results.
